‘Sol’ a needle pulling thread. . . .

Making a twirly skirt for my daughter’s birthday:

My middle kiddo has recently taken to dressing up. I decided to make her a fun dress-up skirt for her 3rd birthday. Here are a few pictures of the process.

Making a Dress

For the past few days, my oldest daughter has been insisting that she needs to make a dress. This morning, I thought, why not? So here’s the dress we made! Thanks to my hubby for helping to photo journal the project! 🙂

First we selected fabric from my big box of sewing materials:
